I think EA laid off the wrong people.

How can you be working on 3 different titles, patches, etc. and hope for the best?

Why can't they take their time like they did with BF2?

I doubt very much the PC version will be 24 players as it is typical for PC versions to have larger online ability (Frontlines and Quake wars to name a few both did although this was never overly advertised as most advertisement on the games main page is aimed at console gamers plus they both sucked LOL)

I think this is good news because at least PC is being included and modders will have the chance to get their hands on the Frostbite PC engine.

It does seem that as the game is download only with no mention of a retail release that this will be a budget title and i would not be surprised if it was originally intended to be a boster/expansion for BFBC but someone thought we better give the PC guys it to . I am also surprised at how well they concealed this title being released this summer and all makes you wonder what else they have under raps.

It could be that all these small'ish releases are test and they are perfecting the frostbite engine using these releases as testbeds before unleashing the mother of all BF3 games(when they think they could finally do it justice).

Here is the official site it is infact real. http://battlefield.com/1943/ Will be 20 dollars at most because of the Xbox Live arcade. Will be on PC.

people who were waiting for BF3 modern combat will get bad company 2 in the winter, so that should quiet them. except both titles are 24 players is the most troubling part along with BF1943 being a small simple game of 3 maps and download only. it's disappointing to see there isn't a PC exclusive title because even without playing these games, it already is evident that these titles for PC will suffer from consolitis.

24 players? what are they thinking?

The days that made BF popular are over. DICE sold out and took the BF name with them.

i don't get why they needed to consolize the BF franchise, it's not like they were losing money from pirating since you can't pirate BF games on PC.

How do you know that both titles will have only 24 players? They only said it about 1943 (which looks like a dumbed down 1942 with better graphics).

If they tweak the BC2 PC multiplayer it just might be what the community expected.

Too bad that they gave almost no info.

BFBC(frostbite) = 24 players
BF1943(basicly BFBC mod, frostbite) = 24 players
BFBC2(console still main platform, same engine etc..) = probably 24 players

That's because of console limitations. Doubt it's the engine.

Anyway i hope they clear it up.
