Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Announced

It seems that our favorite console shooter is coming back for more. In its Q3 2009 financial earnings call, EA announced that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is in development and is headed for release no later than April 2010. We don't really know much more than that; IGN has summarized all of today's announcements from EA and provided a quick blurb about Bad Company 2.

Meanwhile, Battlefield 3 is nowhere to be found. Stay strong, PC gamers.

money money money is on EA's mind. build strong support in battlefield franchise and now spread it to new market.

I dont mind it that they are making another BC personally, mainly because i want to know what happens and it gives me an excuse to not neglect the 360 sitting behind me as i write this. though i hope they come up with a BF3/(???) or BF2 1.5 announcement soon

This isn't really much of a surprise, I mean there was talk about continuing Bad Company franchise almost at the time of its release.

Just as long as DICE doesn't pin the future of PC Battlefield game decisions based on the success or failure of Battlefield Heroes.

No Heroes is a FREE game, so ist not conna decide of BF3 coms :) (Bf3 is in production, i Now !)

Battlefield Bad Company was a fantastic game and had great reviews (I reviewed it for Total BF). The story was great and I'm happy to hear that a sequel is in the works.

Consoles are where the money is at, there's nowhere near as much piracy. PC games will be the last thing on any studio's mind until the piracy problem is fixed, its just a commercial reality.
