Re: gCOPS - New World Order of the Gaming World

Thank you for taking the time to read each of the posts and for posting here sir.

As you also read in the posts, we do see promise in such a program as long as there are checks and balances. I saw the news about your gCOPS program on a couple of "admin focused" news sites, so they obviously focused on the admin's capabilities.

I like the potential of this program if:
1)The tagging pertains to 'like' servers as you said. That way a tactical clan is not ruining you for other gametypes, but instead only other tactical servers would see that you might be disruptive for their gametype.
2)That you can have gamer reviews of clans and their conduct also. That would definitely keep things in check also.

I also realize that gamers could then abuse their power and try to destroy a clan. Ah, nerd wars.

Having base options is also a great idea b/c I would trust your judgment of which tags to be used over letting a clan put whatever they want.

Feel free to send any news on your program this way and I am sure our forum members would be more than happy to offer feedback/constructive criticism on how to make it the best possible program for the community.

So essentially I can play in 1 server using gCOPS and another not, and I wouldn't be tagged. I like the idea of the tagging being used with "like" servers, rather than being tagged on all servers.

The idea is great, and it really shouldn't be a problem in it that not everyone is going to use this. I wouldn't use it, for the simple fact that I'm more chillax about things, its a game, we shouldn't have to worry about being careful with what we say in the chat and such, like someone said before, parents shouldn't let their kids play this game if they're afraid of their kids seeing things or reading things they shouldn't be. The game is vulgar itself lol.

This will be abused, and that is a fact. But then again, I doubt that a lot of people will use this, because it is so subjective, I'd say about 5-10% of the community will take advantage of this program, and out of that 5-10%, 3-6% will abuse it.

But good luck with it, I hope it turns out to be a good system, and hopefully I'm wrong about the abuse part, but I really doubt it.
