Jack Thompson Credits God for Take-Two's Stock Plummet

The recent poor performance for Take-Two Interactive's stock isn't the result of poor sales of Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC. It also isn't the fault of the poor economic conditions plaguing the world. No sir, the poor performance of Take-Two's stock is the direct result of God!

Jack Thompson says that God is the only reason why Take-Two Interactive's stock prices have gone down. GamePolitics and Jack Thompson went back and forth through e-mails to discuss the finer points of God's wrath.

You might do well to read the Gospel of John yourself. Come to think of it, I'll write Strauss about all this and send you a copy...

It's hardly surprising to see that on top of being completely ignorant of violence in videogames, Jack Thompson is also intolerant of other person's beliefs and religious backgrounds.

He's not only a nut-job, he's also media whore who craves attention.

The best way to make him go away is to stop talking about him, stop paying attention to him, and just ignore his ramblings. Obscurity is the best punishment for him and his kind.

We have to take this seriously guys. Please. This guy is a messenger from god in the mother ****ing flesh. We will all be punished for not listening.

Seriously though if God is perfect, then we are perfect. We are perfect the way we are. Just because we think perfect as something else doesn't necessarly mean that it is. Just because we think a chair is a chair doesn't mean it is a chair. Just because we think a dog is a dog doesn't mean it is a dog. Just because we think a car is a car doesn't mean it is a car. Just because we think not perfect is not perfect doesn't mean it is not perfect. See where I'm going with this?

Accept things as they are and move on. That goes for Jack Thompson and us.

Hopefully Take-Two will sue his a$$ because of these comments. And then we would get rid of him for good...

Because the court said that he can't make any public comments about Take-Two or about their games. And if he wanted to communicate with them, it would have to happen through attorneys...

I would love to meet this guy, maybe do an interview over Live. Play some good ole Left4Dead and see what he has to say about the Apocalypse.

I would hope he'd have more interesting things to say, maybe even change my mind about gaming... :awes But he probably wouldn't be interesting AT ALL and would turn out to be an ignorant bible thumper instead of just looking like one whenever he opens his mouth.
