New Sands of Fire Trailer Released

The team behind the highly anticipated Sands of Fire movie has released a brand new trailer today. This new trailer shows off more of the great action the full length video will feature. Here's what the guys had to say:
Around Christmas time, as the tradition goes, the DW crew prepares for something special. And this year is no exception. Exactly 3 years after the first teaser and 2 years after the Christmas special (Preview), we are very pleased to announce the last and official SoF Trailer.

The previous presentations were both action packed and visually enhanced to portray the best visual style of this movie but this time however, we have focussed on the story. It's no secret that SoF is inspired by true events from current and passed military operations in Iraq and with this trailer we are trying to give more details of what this movie is all about.

The trailer will hopefully convince the disbelievers and people who were going to give up on us. And for the fans that sticked with us, we hope this trailer will show that the waiting hasn't been for nothing. Remember, it's only a small presentation of what to expect in the final movie.

Some of the shots used in this trailer will look familiar. And yes, some of these shots were released in previous trailers or during the post-production of the movie but not in it's final shape. This trailer does show the final composit of these shots as they were edited for the best viewing experience.

Looks really good. Every time I think I'm starting to get some good video editing skills, I see something like this that just destroys my ego. :)

I suspect the movie is 5 hours long.

We have to wait for the "sands of fire" team to upload it elsewhere as it seems Vimeo have deleted it from their accounts. I'll update it as soon as it goes live again.

              Sorry for the inconvenience.

                Vimeo are so f*cking elitist.

Sands of Fire is so much better than the majority of the crap on that site. Just because it's based around a video game means it's somehow "less worthy".

ye, they also did it to our Project Reality video account recently which had LOADs of our videos with our main links in there. The thing is Vimeo are only going to be cutting there userbase with this since youtube's new HD is a far better option for more or less everyone now than Vimeo, what we are using now

Vimeo has had a new policy in effect since the summer that states no game videos. The exception is machinima and it should be stated in the tag or title.

Blaming Vimeo for users inability to comprehend the guidelines is a bit whacked.

                              # No captures of video games or gameplay, regardless if it is edited or not. Machinima with a story is allowed, provided the story is more than "guys doing exactly what the game was made for (eg skateboarding)". Machinima videos must be properly labeled as such in the video description to avoid accidental deletion.
                              # Video game developers may post videos of their work provided they cite their involvement in the description of the video (maps and mods to commercial games don't count).
