Normally priced at 1200 MS points ($15 USD), this week's special deal for Xbox Live finds Halo: Combat Evolved sitting at just 600 MS points.

Halo is a sci-fi shooter that takes place on a mysterious alien ring-world. Packed with combat, Halo will have you battling on foot, in vehicles, inside and outdoors with Alien and Human weaponry. Your objective: to uncover Halo's horrible secrets and destroy mankind's sworn enemy, the Covenant.

The game is roughly 2GB in size and is the title that started it all. The special offer is only good for one week and is open to all Gold members.

What changes were made between the digital and retail versions? I already have the retail game, but it might be useful to help people decide if they have any qualms.
