Roger Altmeyer, the former owner and operator of the "St. Louis Mod Shop" is being sued by Epic Games after the store advertised having early copies of Gears of War 2 for sale.
Altmeyer advertised on Craigslist for his shop, promoting the sale of modded Xbox consoles and other illegal copies of games. As a result of a court order, Altmeyer is now out of business.
He was forced to turn over all of his unsold equipment and was ordered to assist Epic Games in "identifying others who violate copyright restrictions."
The initial lawsuit was dished out on October 31, 2008.
