The financial reports from the fiscal quarter just passed are in for Microsoft.
Microsoft has earned $15 billion in revenue over the last quarter with a net income of about $4.3 billion. Of that figure, the entertainment division pulled in $178 million in profits. This figure is up from the $167 million in profits during the same period last year.
Microsoft's senior VP, Chris Liddell, had this to say on the growth of the Xbox 360's sales.

"We sold 2.2 million Xbox 360 consoles, representing over 20% growth. Xbox 360 outsold PS3 by over 100,000 consoles over the quarter."
The average number of games purchased by each 360 owner has hit 8.1, reportedly an industry high.Source
