Sony Considering Real World Rewards for Trophies

If you're someone who absolutely loves collecting every last trophy in the latest PlayStation 3 release, you might have some extra incentive to keep on doing what you're doing.

Sony is now considering giving gamers real world rewards for earning trophies in their games. The latest issue of OPM details what may soon become a reality.

"We've heard that SCEA is mulling over some sort of Trophy reward system.

"We doubt it'll be cash (or the equivalent), but we suspect it might be exclusive access to early betas and the like."

Bragging rights and early access to game BETA's? Gamers had best hurry up and start collecting those trophies!

I've been working on getting trohpies for Dead Space and will go back and play Mercs2 and BFBC to get those when they are added in via patches.

I didn't even know the Mercs 2 patch was coming out today so no way I'd know when BFBC is.
