Shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show 2008, was the latest installment in the Mama series, commonly seen in a handful of Cooking Mama titles. Now, Mama has left the kitchen and is exploring her garden in Gardening Mama.
Does this Mama play as well as the others or should she just stick to the kitchen.

The gameplay that you've come to know and perhaps even love remains largely intact, except that you happen to be digging up roots rather than peeling or boiling them. The same basic principles still apply, though. Pour too much water and you'll drown your plants. Scatter the seeds properly or they won't germinate. Do things correctly and you'll get a gold star. If you screw up, you'll face the wrath of Mama. Those fiery eyes will instill fear in even the bravest of souls.
Gardening Mama ends up appealing to a pretty niche audience. But luckily, it's the very audience that would be prone to purchasing something like Cooking Mama or any of the other games that simulate household chores available for the Nintendo Wii and DS. And even if you aren't a member of that audience, there's a certain amount of joy inherent to planting that corn or watering those tulips.
