Take-Two Sued for $50 Million by Former Exec

Filed last week in a federal court in Nevada, was a lawsuit against Take-Two Interactive for $50 million from one of its former executives.

A claim was made by Robert Alexander, alleging that the company owes him for an agreement that was never upheld. He was promised "$240,000 in annual salary with 20% annual raises, a $25,000 monthly expense allowance, 50,000 shares of T2 stock plus options and $.50 per game handled by his distribution company."

His distribution company, Game Ballers, was in talks with Ryan Brant and others to partner with Take-Two. Negotiations fell through and Brant was forced to leave in March of 2004. At this point, Alexander fell out of favor and claims that he was never paid was he was promised.

Robert Alexander began his journey with Take-Two after selling his company, Jack of All Games, to the company in 1998. He was a member of the T2 board of directors until leaving in 1999.

Take-Two has not issued any public statement on this lawsuit.

This dude must be a complete a-hole. He probably already has millions in assets, and yet he wants MORE. How about giving some money to charity and invest in good game project?

If it was in his contract then Take Two have no leg to stand on, don't get me wrong I have very little sympathy for fat-cat types like him, but in principle it's like one of use getting payed a £1 less for every hour we work. Downright Illegal.
