Anybody who picks up a new copy of Gears of War 2 will be able to redeem a code for five free multiplayer maps and a golden gun in Gears of War 2.
The multiplayer maps are remakes of existing Gears of War 1 maps. Those maps are Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway, and Tyro Station. These five maps will join the ten existing maps already present in Gears of War 2. The old maps will receive a nice visual face lift to go with their new Gears 2 home.
Additionally, a gold plated Hammerburst assault rifle will be available for anybody eager to play Gears of War 2 during the "Midnight Madness" launch events taking place the night of November 6. The gold plated Lancer is also available, but only to those who purchase the Limited Edition bundle of Gears of War 2.
