I didn't really like how BF:Bad Company released all those guns for the Gold Edition which you only got at the highest rank.
In 1.3 this weapon was great, better to say both versions of it where great there.

What if I still just want the M1 Carbine and NOT the FG-42 but I already pre-ordered the CE of WW PC?

Also If you look at the pic of the Carbine that you get free for pre-order thay call it the M1A1 Carbine but it has the wood stock is that not the M1 Carbine in the pic? or is there diff types of M1A1 I always thought there was only 2 the M1A1 and the M1

        see link EBGames pre-order:

^ Whichever one it is, as JD the Treyarch Community Manager said, there are no weapons that you only get in the special editions that you cannot get in the regular edition. All the special editions do is allow you to unlock them sooner without ranking up as much. Everyone will have access to all of the same weapons, just like in COD4.

I'm really glad to hear that, the playing field should be even, not enhanced for somebody who spends an extra $20.

Whiskey do you know who's pre-ordering it in Vancouver? I've never pre-ordered a game before because I've heard too many stories of people getting it a week late instead of a day early.

Around here, I'd ask at EB Games (used to be called Electronics Boutique) first. They usually get games on the shelf the day of release.

I'm not into the whole multiplayer bonus simply because you paid more money. Double experience points and high level machine gun simply because you paid more money seems like a built in cheat for those who want to advance by forking over the dough.

That's where I went for CoD4, I was there on the first day of release at 10:30am. I got the third last copy in stock haha, I'll probably end up going there again. The only thing about EB games that I don't like is that their staff aren't very professional, they generally don't care at all.
Last time I was there, I overheard one of the staff telling someone in the store that they could have the last copy of this game that was being reserved by another woman, simply because she didn't answer her phone the first time they called.

Yeah, but you're gonna find twits no matter where you go...most employees are good, but some are not. Gaming in particular will often attract people with a questionable work ethic, so it's a toss up no matter what store you choose. You could also ask at FutureShop or BestBuy, but they sometimes don't get the game on the shelf the day of release.

I don't do pre-orders, I just walk into EB the day of, and I almost always pick up the game I want.

Amen to that, I guess I'll just show up at EB games when it opens.
