A patch that was originally slated to be released last December for Rock Band is finally going to be released publicly. The patch, originally blocked from release by Actvision, allows gamers to use their Guitar Hero 3 guitar with Rock Band.
Just like that, PS3 owners of both games now have an extra guitar to use with Rock Band.
Additionally, the update coming on September 11 will add in the ability to export your Rock Band 1 songs onto your hard drive for use in Rock Band 2. The steps to using this feature was previously mentioned by the MTV Multiplayer blog with steps provided only for the Xbox 360 version of the title.
Finally, a fixed version of the PAX DLC pack will be released prior to Thursday. The pack will be a free download to those who already purchased the old, broken version.
