Man, people are so impatient on these forums :/

The patch will come eventually, would you rather want a patch that breaks the game? BF2 is a fricken 3 year old game, usually games don't get updates that late, ever.

The problem is not that time they need to bring out the patch, it is just about their way of giving information what is bugging many here.
I mean, everyone expected at least a small amount of it when they posted the official announcement and the only thing that came was what everyone already knew.

Well you seem to be crawling back here Shellshock_1918. Why are you here if you are so pissed at their "inexcusable BS" ? I for one don't fell like I have been royally f**ked. Believe me, I'm fuming that there is no news about BF3 or the patch, but dude , it's a game, and I have a life-and it goes on. It amazes me more that people like you still visit these sites and forums.

Its called running a business and EA does a terrible job at it. In any other business this is frowned upon. You don't promise the customer something then months later not even mention if its being worked on. Even if the idea were to be canceled, that is better than not knowing its fate.

Which leads me to believe there was never a "1.42" or whatever patch. It was a gimmick, to help attract attention to Bad Company, which was also mentioned in that newsletter some months ago and was released shortly after that newsletter.
