Multiplayer BETA Announced for World at War (PC/360)

Activision and Treyarch have just announced that there will be a multiplayer BETA for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Call of Duty: World at War. This BETA is set to kick off this October, a month prior to the game's release on November 11.

Boot camp will soon take on a new meaning, as Activision Publishing, Inc. and developer Treyarch, have confirmed plans for Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer betas in October for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and separately for download on Windows PC. These betas will serve as an early chance for players to practice the tactics needed for survival in the intense chaos of Call of Duty: World at War's Pacific and European theaters. Players will experience the game's new squad system, as well as fan favorite perks and kill streaks.

All preparation for the full battle will commence on November 11, 2008 when Call of Duty: World at War is released to retailers nationwide.

"We are excited to share a sneak peak of Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer with the community," says Mark Lamia, Treyarch Studio Head. "The team has worked hard to build upon the great history and foundation of Call of Duty multiplayer and we can't wait to go online to ramp up for our November launch."

Activision says that there are two ways gamers can be a part of this multiplayer BETA. You can either register for tokens at the Call of Duty website or pre-order the game from GameStop.

I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of joygasms later today once more people read about this. Very cool that PC will also get a shot this time. Kind of unfortunate that PS3 isn't included (at this time) though, as I'm sure its users will feel slighted.

The only minus...if it's going to be anything like what happened with COD4 and the CharlieOscarDelta website, there's going to be a massive influx of noobs registering at the COD website, and spamming up their forums.

I had to re-register there for some reason as it never carried my CharlieOscarDelta login info over. Even password retrieval didn't work and I know for a fact I had an account there.

They probably shoot you an email. I'm almost certain that's how it went with the CoD4 MP BETA.

this is good news though,so even if we do find bugs it will have 2 be put into a patch as the game would of gone gold by then

So how do u get into the pc beta. Because the only way to really play a fps is on a pc. With promod and pam4.

A problem here: WaW and NFS Undercover's release dates are pretty close to each other, i like both the games and i have money to but only 1 of them:cry:
