No Gears of War 2 for the PC

In a recent interview with IGN, Epic's Cliff Bleszinski, spilled the beans about the Xbox 360 version of Gears of War 2 and some of the design decisions made for the game. Additionally, he stated that they have no plans to do a PC version of Gears of War 2.

Does this mean you are planning a Windows version of "Gears of War 2"?

Cliff: Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around.

PC owners may only ever get the first part to the Gears of War series. Enjoy it, cherish it, and play through it again if you feel that Gears itch as you may never get a sequel.

Personally, it wasn't that great of a game. But, I pity those who will miss it.

Considering the quality of the first from 360 to PC, I won't miss it. That and GoW is over-rated. It's a good console game but there really isn't a benchmark of a truly awesome game on the consoles.

Interesting. Epic seems to have designed their Unreal3 engine with consoles in mind...many of the recent PC games that have tried to convert/use that engine have had a lot of difficulties and have turned out less than stellar. One has to wonder if now Epic themselves have realized that it's just not worth the effort trying to make it run well on PC, and have decided to cut their losses.

I don't really see this as a big loss to the PC community as this is really a 360 series. We was lucky to get a PC version.

^ Yarp, i never tried the 360 version, but my friend played it on my PC and said that there was a huge difference in the PC version than the 360 in terms of gfx as well as features, he says and i quote "you dont get to fight certain aliens on the 360 that you do in the PC".

He finished the 360 version, i consider this a bad news as i was looking forward to it, it was not bad at all.
