Aha but today I did see a LOT of PB kicks for this reason. We had people trying to join our server and they just kept getting kicked over and over and over and over. they asked what was up and I told them about the PB update and to turn off all macro programs.

This update DOES work with the G15 if the person has macros availible in his/her game profile, it doesnt have to be in the specific game however. IE person has macros for WOW then PB for BF2 will pick it up and kick them untill they turn off the game profile manager.

After testing this also prevent people from using several macro programs for use in BF2 and BF2142....


2 very big thumbs up to even balance for this update....

the funny thing is ea paid for the G15 to be in a add inside of the bf2 cd case.

So your telling me that PB will kick for Auto Hotkeys and a G15 BF2 Profile as well ? I bet there is a few pissed G15 users , what about Razor Mice with Macros on them ?

You don't have to turn off profiles, simply hotkeys and macros.

Well first you have to play on a server that has it enabled as well as a server that has PB installed and working properly. Also I have a G15 and a G5, no problems for me, I only use my keybinds for TS keybinds, still no problems on my end.

So my 2 hot keys on my mouse(G5) is considered cheating? rofls. That's a crock. Who the heck uses a factory mouse to game ne ways :S
Get a job & buy a $20-$30 mouse for peets sake.
Now I agree w/ the TV macros being lame, but kicking some1 because they bought a $100 keyboard is intrusive.

Well, i have the scroll wheel macros set when i tilt it left and right. So left tilt is "alt+left" and tilt right is "alt+right".

I don't think it's affected me :|:

If you are running the G15's software, lcdmon.exe, and the server has the update, you will get "Disallowed Program/Driver[119502]"
It kicks regardless of macro use or assignment.
It simply looks for the program, and kicks if found.
I have seen countless players kicked for this.
I was kicked, and I had no profile loaded, nor any macros programed.

This is nice and all but I stopped letting the hackers bother me a long time ago because it takes the fun out of playing if you get stressed out every time a hackers gets the best of you, that and I know for a fact that this is a war that will never end.

I applaud PB and the gaming industry for doing everything they can to curtail the cheating but keep in mind the best hacks are kept private or restricted to a very close nit group of players and those are the ones PB will never catch. <O:p</O:p

Anyone know if this kicks for JoyToKey use?

I use JoyToKey so the hatswitch on my joystick works properly in BF2
