First Details on PS3 Firmware 2.5

The ability for gamers to grab a screenshot of their game in progress is said to be coming in the 2.5 firmware update to the PlayStation 3.

A development source has told CVG that PS3 firmware update 2.5 is rumoured to have screen grabbing built in.

Exactly how this would be done and what you could do with the shots once you've grabbed a piece of the action isn't yet known. But you've got to reckon that uploading them to a server and showing off and using the images as themes would be a safe bet.

This is a touch of rumor and a touch of fact here. Sony hasn't officially announced their changes for 2.5 just yet, but may end up announcing something soon.

I love this in Battlefield Bad Company.

I bet it's because of the multiplayer having it is why they are going to add it for all games this is good!

They need to get the YouTube Record in too, so people can easily record videos from any SP and MP games!

I love this in Battlefield Bad Company.

I bet it's because of the multiplayer having it is why they are going to add it for all games this is good!

That or... Metal Gear Solid. I've seen more in-game MGS4 photos around the web from people playing it than I have BFBC in-game, user submitted screens.
