GTA IV and Wii Dominate 2008 Sales

The top five global sellers of 2008 has already been calculated. The Top Global Markets Report, which is a joint effort on the parts of Japanese (Enterbrain), US (NPD), and UK (Gfk Chart-Track) analysts crafted this list with love and care.

1. Grand Theft Auto IV - Over 6 million units sold worldwide
2. Super Smash Brothers Brawl - Over 5 million units
3. Mario Kart Wii - Over 4.5 million units
4. Wii Fit - Over 3.5 million units
5. Guitar Hero 3 - Just under 3.5 million units

To think that the year isn't even over yet and that these numbers can, and will, continue to rise. The Top Global Markets Report will be released on a monthly basis.

Yeh i can see the Wii going further. it just comes across as so much more appealing than say the PS3, which in my eyes still hasn't managed to get a good run of games going for it.
i would have thought that most people who wanted GTA IV would have it by now though. was quite shocked at the sales of SSB:B, considering it hasn't been out all that long.
