The DKS3713 (Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts, Sigma Harmonics, Parasite Eve The 3rd Birthday, Compilation of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII/Fabula Nova Crystalis) event being held by Square Enix is underway and already a number of rather impressive announcements have been made.

• The 3rd Birthday will be on the PSP as well. Nomura's team will be working on it.
• The Dissidia special download contents at the event is a Dissidia PSP Custom Theme.
• Kingdom Hearts coded (mobile) has a release window of Winter 2008.
• The FFXIII demo will be included in FFVIIACC, as will trailers for VersusXIII and AgitoXIII
• There will also be a FFVIIACC PS3 bundle. The release will be in March 2009.
• FF Agito XIII will also be released on the PSP, no release window. The 3rd Birthday PSP will be out in 2009.
• FF Versus XIII's trailer says "Playstation3 only Worldwide".
• Dissidia PSP bundle confirmed. Release date will be in Dec 2008.
• KH DS is "this winter" without the 2008, so maybe early 2009.
• Versus XIII will have a fashion collaboration with the ROEN fashion branding. The characters in the game will all be wearing ROEN fashion designs. Expensive taste!

• First, and most significant, is that the first run of Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will include a bonus containing demo videos of Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII. More significantly, though, the extra disc will also include a playable demo of the real Final Fantasy XIII. Remember that Japan and the U.S. are considered to be in the same region as one another for all things Blu-ray, meaning this demo is likely to be import-friendly. (Not necessarily, though; publishers are allowed to add region lockouts to PS3 games at their discretion, and wouldn't that just be typical?)
• Speaking of Agito, it is also slated to appear on PlayStation Portable. It began life as a mobile game, but being ported to PSP means it's more likely to be played by people who aren't Japanese. Also, the demo reel for Versus says "For PlayStation 3 Only," so you guys who felt shafted by the news that XIII will be released day-and-date on Xbox 360 in the U.S. can go back to feeling good about owning a PS3 again.
• Finally, and perhaps most excitingly, the third Parasite Eve is also slated for PSP release as well. There were dark tears of betrayal the day the game was announced strictly as a mobile title, but the news that it's moving to PSP -- a system into which Square has begun pouring the same resources as their high-end PS2 creations -- suggests that this will be a true PE sequel rather than some throw-away bit of fluff. The game's pedigree was a good sign, too, but this is welcome reassurance. Sadly, nothing has been shown of the game yet besides the teaser art from last year, so we still don't know if it'll be an RPG like the original or a survival horror action game like the sequel. No doubt that particular revelation is being saved for Tokyo Game Show 2008.
