It feels like ages since I played a modern ww2-game, feels like it could be time again for ww2.

I know FH2 is ww2 but I mean a proper full pc game. So BF3 would fit good as ww2.

I'm betting it will be:

1: Battlefield: Bad Company (console)
2. Battlefield: Heroes (PC - free)
3. Battlefield 3 (PC - paid)
4. Another "Experimental" game like BF:Heroes (PC - paid this time)
5. A "Bad Company: II" kind of deal (console).

As long as we get Battlefield 3, I couldn't care less what the other titles are. Just wish they'd hurry themselves up and announce it already.

before anyone panics "In development" means a lot of things, with game design there are various stages, for example you don't always need graphic artists at a certain stage when a game gets into the hardcore coding phase

these people can go off and work on something else

JUST an example, I know that Dice are a bit meh when it comes to their development efficiency, especially when it involves the end product (dam you EA) but I don't think they are stupid enough to make the battlefield games so crap that they alienate a huge playerbase capable of giving muchos $$$£££

I feel BF3 can be announced at E3, I just doubt they will show more than a trailer till after Battlefield: Heroes.

I think BF: Heroes is just a way to appease EA by creating a market for the low-end PC class. But the fact that the game doesn't come out later this year just shows BF3 will take a while to develop so it doesn't cast a shadow over it before EA can get their mini-transactions in. <_<

I'd guess they would announce BF3 just before or slightly after BF:H is released... just a guess.

It's a good guess, but I'd definitely go with after Heroes is released, about a month after? Maybe.

Hopefully BF3 will be announced after the dust settles on Heroes and Bad Company sometime later this year.

I don't get what "traditional console title" means? Sequel to Bad Company? Modern Combat 2? Any ideas?

sounds like they're biting off more than they can chew. with poor support given to BF2 and BF2142, it seems like the future of BF franchise is getting even darker. i see the quality of the BF games and its support going down the drain. if you thought BF2142 patches and support were bad, think again. this is a blatant a show of their prioritizing quantity over quality. don't be surprised if the future BF games are riddled with bugs from shoddy programming as this seems to be the trend now.

I read the title. Did you read my post?

My point is that they're not making 5 games from scratch, there's only 3 games we haven't heard about. BF:BC is soon released and then they won't need as many people working on it. Same with BF:H, even if it's gonna take a while until it's released.

So, BF:H and BF:BC + 3 other titles. Hopefully BF3.
