i havent heard 1 murmour about how this is going to affect the current mods for bf2 PR, FH2 and all the others that will have to re-fix there releases to co-inside with this new patch!! or is that just me thinking about others rather than just themselves :dead:

Why would there be? mod compatibility is an issue for the modders.

I very much doubt they'll give away boosters.

Why not Alex? It seems like the smartest and easiest thing to do!! Like someone already stated...the booster packs are 2 yrs old. They come bundled with the game now and its relatively easy for them to include it in the patch.

At a business stand point its the best thing they could do (that requires the least effort) to keep the community interested until BF3!!

If they do give them out free, the AF/EF buyers should get: A. Refund or B. New, exclusive unlock to be given to everyone else when they reach 50,000 points (as opposed to 500 for AF/EF'ers).

Why? Anyone who bought them has had 2 years exclusive play. The are "free" now , along with Special Forces for anyone who buys BF2 now. If they dish them out for free in an update means people will actually play these mods (which are really underrated) and the maps can be put on any public server.

will be nice to see some new maps. might have to reinstall and give 2142 a break :)

I seriously doubt any bugs from the past will be fixed. It might uncover other bugs in the process. Just be happy with whatever they decide to give us.

Fix the mouse look in planes (mouse look + working controls). It's so easy, just do it.

priority 1 J10 v F35 imbalance

priority 2: Attack Chopper vs Tank/AA imbalance

Priority 3: Jet vs AA imbalance

Priority 4: LMG vs everything imbalance

priority 5: WideScreen Support!

Priority 6: Cheat fixes!

Priority 7: Locking down Stats info! So nobody but EA can do anything with it!

priority 8: Out of bounds exploits fixed so those scum bag choppers don't hover just on the outside of the outa bounds of the map take some TOW shots and then fly off without any second thought! It should be like in BF2142! 5 seconds! dead, not slow death but dead! instantly! it was done this way on consoles and works great to keep people out of outa bounds zone, and the fact that the game kills the players instantly means you can't muck around with damage hacks that make it take .000000000000000001 of your health per second so you can hang around the outa bounds zone for the whole map and only lose 1 bar of health!

It's probably just a lazy coder at EA, there was no "catagory" for Shanghai Showdown, so it just got put on the bottom.

Hmmmm. An open beta gives me hope that it's more than just bug fixes, though a few have already said that.

Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but maybe a graphics overhaul?! (Hey, it has happened on some games before....)

Well what ever it is, I'm looking forward to it!

It makes sense to me to give EF & AF away now. Why else would they release a new map for a poorly supported booster pack? Plus the booster packs are free with BF2 now, I cant see many people buying AF or EF anymore so they are't losing anything in terms of extra sales. No reason they wouldn't release these add-ons for free to help boost the game since they come with the retail pack now.
