There are too many replies to read through, so I'll just say it in the hopes I'm not repeating someone else.

Tommorow is the 3rd anniversary of BF2 being released (well, arriving in stores). It's a good day to get a patch and new maps.

Not to be a downer, but it's not like EA just woke up and said "Hey, we still care about the quality of BF2." No, it's more of a, "Hey, BF2 people need to go and buy Bad Company

I agree. BF:BC is only for Console, so patching BF2 gets the PC crowd buzzing again, and sets up news and expectations for BF:3 in the not-too-distant future. Clever.

it would also be for DICE the perfect placement for a teaser trailer or something for BF3.

This should be interesting, All of us crazed BF2 fans, sitting here unsupported for nearly 2 years, and all of a sudden, GOOD NEWS FOR BF2.. Is mentioned in an interview, and everyone is screaming patch patch patch.. I would love a patch too, but the same way I started this post, this is going to be very interesting, and I will gladly waist away this entire monday, just to see what the big news about BF2 is..

I won't be suprised if it is not a patch, though I would be happy to have one..

I would think A little Bit more info on BF3. Is in order, now that they have a short breathing period from BC. I dunno though I am not DICE, just speaking from what i have seen in the past years..
