According to the financial reports of this year's second quarter, Take-Two, the mommies and daddies behind Rockstar Games spent $5.3 million on legal fees to stop Electronic Arts from getting their hands on their titles.
The company should be able to compensate for their losses however, as in they've pulled in $92.8 million since GTA IV was released.
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV has sold 8.5 million units to date, with 11 million shipped to retailers. The game managed to move 6 million units in its first week, amounting to some $500 million in revenue.
It's amazing the lengths companies will go to, to stop being capitalised by Electronic Arts.
