HER Battlefield 2142 Released

Our community member hajas has released his popular HER mod for Battlefield 2142. Here's what he had to say:

If you enjoyed the other versions of HER, I'm bringing to you now HER Battlefield 2142! Now we have realism in a futuristic war!

HER Features:
1. All weapons now are deadly with 1 or 2 shots, even the pistols at close range.
2. Anti-Tank Weapons are twice deadly as before, so any Anti-Tank can defend his squad from the attack of any vehicle (Walkers Inclued)
3. Blood FX (by Murdock & Rest'n'pit)
4. More Bots to Play on COOP MODE in LAN
5. New Bot Names (Clan members from BC, 3rL and NER)
6. The fun gameplay remains the same

Not completely "realistic," if someone gets their hands or feet shot at, it's not an instant kill. Good effort though, fun stuff.

Sounds/looks interesting, but I'd be a little worried about the easy kills being so prevelant. At least the infantry vs. infantry stuff. The scene where the guy with the LMG mowed down about 6 or 7 enemies in 3 seconds flat at the Town Center was a little discouraging.

Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to be the guy behind that trigger, but when a single guy can waste your whole squad that quick without some smart explosives placement? Bit too much, IMO.

Still... I'll probably give it a try. Be nice to take down a walker with a Pilum and still have some ammo left when it's all done.

So you took out all of the tactical elements of BF2142 and replaced it with Unreal reflexes... No thanks

that's because are stupid bots... now you must play protecting yourself all the time, and these bots just run against the enemy like terrorists, that's why was so easy to kill them... :laugh:

but against other players this will never happens, only if you played against a full noob squad... :shakehead

I understand you, I don't like the default BF gameplay so it's pretty normal BF fans will not like HER... HER was created to hardcore players like me that want to feel the battlefield and to have fear to die... not more superman's wars with HER... sorry. :shakehead

I believed that many people that HATE BF2142 will change their minds if playing with HER... at least I already saw around 10 of these until now, and I'm still counting... :nod:

HER is a simulation of this utopic futuristic war with more realism as possible without kill the gameplay... but unfortunately it's not to everyone. :salute:

I was talking about that in the game itself, one sniper shot to the hand or foot and the dude dies instantly, that's not supposed to happen.. some sort of bug maybe.
