Call of Duty 5 Announced for PC

How in the heck do you play a game like CoD4 on the Wii???

I have a Wii, but I just use it for the old Mario games and that sort. Why would I want to play CoD4 on a Wii? Lol

Voodoo Extreme has posted up some exciting news today that states Call of Duty 5 will be available for PC. Here is the list they posted showing Activision's new titles:

• Call of Duty 5 to be released before 2009 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, Wii.

It's stupid to make FPS games for console only, consoles are best for driving and fighting games, and remember COD started as a PC game and ported to consoles.

If you look at it purely from an effort vs. profit perspective, however, it makes a lot of sense. Each year, PC is a smaller and smaller slice of the market.

I'm not saying that's a good thing, I'm a PC player myself :) , but the reality is that even right now, the consoles are making game companies much more money than PC. And that gap is likely to only get bigger year after year unless some sort of major technology shift/breakthrough occurs.

Call of Duty 5 is going to be WWII, however, it is also likely not being made by IW (ie. just like COD3).

I'd be amazed if IW let the "modern warfare" theme go to anyone else (at least for quite some time). Look for either a COD4-expansion pack, or COD6, to be modern war, and be made by IW.

Im just happy that CoD5 will be for the PC! I like the idea of being like the console and having all the games for my system, I just think thats the way it should be. Like I said, I love that I will have the option between Modern and WWII.
