Call of Duty 4 v1.2 Patch Released

Infinity Ward is back today to release the second patch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Here's what they had to say:

Description
This is the release of the v1.2 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ patch by Infinity Ward. This patch optimizes the Lean view offset issue, addressing the glitch reported by several community members and documented and sent in directly by community member GaretJax which is commonly referred to as the �Left / Vertical Lean� Glitch, in addition to preparing files for compatibility with the future release of the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ Mod Tools. This patch will update all previous versions of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ to v1.2

Installation
• Download the file below
• Run the installer and make sure its pointed to the installation folder for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™

So these patches only patch the MP? Cause I've noticed when I pull down the console on the SP, it still calls it COD 1.0.

Agreed. This is already way better then what EA has done in the past. Infinity ward is staying on top of things nicely.

yea i cant wait for the mod tools, i want to create some ridiculous impossible sniper map for us to have fun on.

Such maps as the CSS surf maps will be good

The fix lists for 1.1 and 1.2 only concern MP issues, so it's reasonable that these patches only affect the MP exe/part of the game.

Looks like IW have got their act together since CoD2, I remember their forum full of people whining about wanting a patch, and how it was dragging on and on and on. :nod:

People who have patched to 1.1/1.2 can still join servers and play with folks still on 1.0 (unpatched). Everyone should still be in the same mix together.

"Left lean glitch" reminds of a similar offset issue which plagued Delta Force: BlackHawk down. Was also refferered to as the the left lean glitch. But this was never fixed in DF
