Gotta love how official posts make some people think things are fishey..I for one am happy in having free content. The more content the better, I mean, it's not like they would actually lose money giving us more content, so might as well make us happy considering Bad Company and another DICE BF game are down the road..early 2008 I read.

"The more content the better" can not apply to a game that has 3 new maps during 2 years of existence. 2 of which are sponsored by outside companies.

We DESERVED those maps then? We paid $50 for the game itself, not the patches/updates/additional maps with that >_>

No we provided 6 Ranked-non-client servers (Ny Texas and California) for the testing. When EA gives the green light all servers will be automaticaly updated with the new map, but ONLY when EA says it is ok to do so.

i remember that under bf42 we had more maps, an entirely army (oh canada :yay: )
dice also made a ww2 minimod for bfv.

For bf2 they could certainly do fan-mappack and it would cost nothing.
They could also highlight mods a lot more using their pop-up system etc ... to get more copy sold.


Don't come and tell me that they did this map for the community, there are more than 20 advertisements (without counting the other side of the pannel) pannels along the main roads with at least 1 or 2 at the big point.


ahhh the good old time is finish ...

I would like to know how much intel has paid for that !
(having adverts in a popular video games and a popular games should cost a lot !)

PS: Not to forget the vehicules(f-e il2 ) and the weapons(garand, i know it was weird to play american with n°4 but it still show the support) they added to bf42 !!

Actually... I think I do.

You need to patch a farked game- a fully functional, satisfying game does not need patches.

As a member of a company whos business is to keep its customers satisfied to I can secure a future market, I wouldnt hesitate to spend my time and money so I could get more of it in return in the future, especially... especially when the customers I serve love to do what I do- play videogames.

They did this map for the community.
