Great job on those models, you managed to get high detailed crisp textures - I've seen too many models in mods that have been uvw mapped poorly and end up with an ugly low res texture.

EDIT: I think i found an error, on that map the axis CPs have the German Empire flag... But this flag was only used between 1871-1918 not during WWII. Correct me if I'm wrong but this site looks legit - Click

Because we don't use the swastika, SS runes and other illegal symbols

Anyways that's not the german flag we have ingame, we use a war german flag with an iron cross instead the swastika.

ohh yea, i forgot about that ban on using anything nazi in a game. i dont think youd find anyone offended with accurate reproductions but better safe than sorry, dont want to piss anyone off. i remember the sh!t storm that came from Wolfenstein 3D.

The use of Nazi symbols on video games is only illegal in Germany, I think, but a good deal of the FH community is from Germany, so...
I play FH1 with Swastikas and SS symbols and what not, thanks to the Cheese&Brat Texture and Sound pack. But then again, I'm not in Germany...

*ahem* And I'm not a nazi; I just like realism and have a very clear notion of what those things stand for.
My grandmother used to tell me some stories that she heard from people she knew, who were in a concentration camp - and she cried everytime, just from remembering it...and she didnt live that herself!
That is some serious eye-opener, let me tell ya.

The question wasn't about using Nazi flags, but about the colors used in the German flag in FH2... according to that website that was posted, those colors were used only until 1918.

No, this is the flag that the FH2 one is based on the Reichskriegsflagge: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/de1938~w.html However, due to the issues that people have mentioned above we have exchanged the swastika for an iron cross.

@ Takiwa - the minimaps shown in the news updates are just so people can see the map's flag layout - the flags have just been pasted onto the original image. They aren't the ones that will be used ingame.

Not in Germany only soon. Anti-nazi debates started in European Union, for example, polish and czech modelling magazines with decals already not use swastica in decals. In banlist swastica, SS runes, some SS symbols like Totenkopf (poor Panzerwaffe Totenkopf - he not a nazy symbol, but also included in list), etc. Anti-nazi policy also started in USA, typical example:
