    Re: BattleGroup-Frontlines Mod Update #24

    Guys, please calm down.
I hope there is not such a bad relationship between FH2 and BFG that you need to go on with this kind of arguments on public forums.

You could start to flame all newsposts of every mod, showing up errors on vehicles,maps,weapons,..... with ease.
WW2 was a major conflict, every country produced at the maximum level of what industry was able to. Therefore we have many different versions of things which all look a bit different. Especially German stuff was produced in many variations, sometimes even differing output in the current production.
This makes it really hard to do a good research on one specific item and makes it even harder to prove if some little change in style existed or not.
Also you should not forget that this is a game, and you can't recreate stuff 100%. There are limitations that force you to inaccuracy.
So please, everybody stop being to fuzzy about little details.

I know Taranov has very big knowledge on vehicles and I assume that BFG has people who do their job with the same addiction he is doing it.
If all of you think to have assured facts for the things you are arguing about, why don't you just sit together and discuss about your opinion privatly. I as a collector of WW2 equipment know that you somethimes can learn much more having a talk with other people than reading 3 books.

Once again, please calm down and keep this thread civil.
Espacially takiwa should try to get his control back before he posts again. Your posts are by far the most insulting and least helpful in this thread. Please just try to show some maturation when you post next time.

      Re: BattleGroup-Frontlines Mod Update #24

I am a huge fan of both mods from playing 1942. But this argument is lame and not productive to either mod.

I know I was able to play both mods and enjoy them in 1942, so there will be plenty of room on BF2 to do the same. Please stop going at each others throats.

Please don't flame this topic (how many times you get banned ...), or read it completely.

        To be clear:

If the topic has degenerated , it is because taranov considers that our model is not accurate.
In Fact our model is right but taranov are complaining that this version is an after-war version but our member did have this version in war pictures.

Tak is certainly a little bit nervous but taranov shouldn't have said our models wasn't accurate and begin to spread his blueprints.
Taranov should have directly said in his FIRST comments that he considers our model as a post-war model, (which seems not to be the case, since some war picture about this variants exists).

Don't worry, BGF has got good relation with FH dev .

I hope the polemic is ended.
If you want to discuss about that you can still see with the modeler via pm our on our forum so it will be easier to speak (without flammers around)

I have been banned in the past for much less than Takiwa, which is odd.
If I ever think to employ the same language and attitude he does, I would be banned for 2 weeks or a month. His posts are always very aggressive, and use a kind of language I never did.
There seems to be a double standard situation, where rules apply to all the community, except for him.

Well now since the discussion is at its end both BGF and FH are welcome to join my house to have a celebration with coffee and cookies. :)

I even invite ww2freak to spend the FH-Devs a warm welcome by kissing their feet. And maybe one day he will also recognize that our feet are tasty as well. :P

            Cheers, [BGF]Tomcraft :)

I'm not here to kiss anyone's feet.

But I do recognize and appreciate top-quality work, and when it is worth it, top-quality work has my praise.
Your work is "ok", but it's not yet top-quality, i'm sorry. If you are working for popularity and fame, instead of concentrating in making a decent mod, then that's your problem and I can't help you.

I praise good work and criticize the bad, from whatever mod - remember my opinion on DaCrapper.

                Re: BattleGroup-Frontlines Mod Update #24

I did not intended to reply here since some members from us have used the wrong words i can´t appologize for and the thread is bringing no good light on both teams. At least some people know that there isn´t bad blood in general between BGG and FH.

..but on this a little note:
If you are working for popularity and fame, instead of concentrating in making a decent mod, then that's your problem and I can't help you.
We have no problem making a decent mod. I think we are making a decent mod. Remember, we do that for fun, we create all those things in our free time, we have RL beside modding. Sometimes RL fades the members out of the mod for months. I agree that our quality isn´t constant wich has other reasons. But all togehter the stuff showed up so far has quality in my eyes(personal oppinion). Some time ago i tried to raise things always to the maximum quality, to be the best...but time showed that you can´t do that all the time, at least not in a non comercial mod. FH is a lucky mod, they have some very skilled people that are doing work of constant quality. Perhaps there will be a time when those people are gone, time changes.
It isn´t all about making people like you happy, WW2 freak, you know we are humans that want to have some fun together, again modding is fun for most people. Everybody has different demands...

He's been like that for a while...

There is a reason why the criticism isn't appreciated when there is nothing wrong with the model, just because it is different from FH's one doesn't mean it isn't still correct...

Oh well free publicity isn't all bad..

As for the beer and cookies it is probably better to go to Germany (Tomcraft) than Canada (Blackice) for there is better beer in Germany (although better skiing in Canada)...

I have a book, with 2 photographies of an opel Blitz with the low version (Ian Baxter Der deutsche Panzerkrieg) unnecassary to show them, because everyone will say they are faked, as well as some model shots.

I have prepared a shot about possible mistakes in your PanzerIII. If you want i can say more, but only on pm.

so we can start now and searching everyones models for every possible mistake. Certainly we will find mistakes on everyones model, or we simply accept the fact that there are differences between a model and a real vehicle, as well as we accept the fact that if someone says, it fits to a blueprint, it really fits.

And ww2 freak, Taranow started the "discussion" by showing a laughing smilie upon 2 googled pictures.
The Panzer is my project, not Taranovs. Thanks for pointing out the errors, I will fix them on next update.

                        btw, nice update.

Wow it all started with my post! I was in shock when I saw 50+ comments on this thread, when last time I was here it was only 5.

I'm really sorry guys for any problems I caused or any mod wars I started. I never knew there was so much hatred between the two mods! Wow, really disappointed in you guys. I was just trying to point out the obvious and show some constructive criticism.

Nice Blitz. You are missing one wingnut on the left quarter panel.

                            Just kidding, of course.

There isn't any. There are just a few impulsive people that sometimes become so noisy that all the much larger number of calm, reasonable folks (like Benseras or Rad) get drowned out.

Nice work BGF! Looking forward to seeing them in action.

Well it's not really like that at all. The actions of a few smaktards from each mod can really hurt the reputations of the mods. There is some hatred by individuals obviously by some of the posts on here, but all in all we get along quite fine. We respect each other as fellow modders and WWII enthusiasts.

I really like what BGF has been turning out lately. We both started on each end of the war theatres as not to conflict our first releases. I wouldn't mind if later on in development when both of our mods start crossing paths with theatres that we started some kind of colaboration or merger so both of our mods aren't just doing "their" version of a weapon, map, vehicle, etc. To me it would make more since to combine efforts for one well done WWII mod. I think this would benefit everyone.. devs and fans alike. But this is just a pipedream of mine, and most likely not shared by all fellow devs from either mod.

Anyway, I do appologize for Taranov's postings. He escapes from his cage from time to time, but he really is an invaluable researcher for our mod. He puts togther ref packs for us modellers/textures that are phenominal. High resolution blueprints that are scanned at over 5000 pixels wide, Photo walkarounds, Color callouts, guage art, and WWII photography, Original tech manuals.. the list goes on. Almost too much information. Some of our modellers go grazy with this info as you'll see in a few upcoming news updates.
