    actually im kinda glad to hear that because nothing sucked more than an enemy tank sitting on the repair pad in the us main just ripping people apart before enough people finally caught on, heheh.

        Re: Desert Conflict PR Media Release #5

        after watching the video about 100 times now since im adding some new tunes to update our news, i came to the conclusion that the shadowing and lighting is just absolutely sickening!!! the sense of late afternoon (unless its supposed to be morning and im just a idiot but i looked and theres no type indication as to north so im assuming its late afternoon) is portrayed so much better than any other version or genera of the map its almost unbelievable and im only looking at a tiny clip that probably gives no justice to what the map really is. i have a feeling one of our servers will surly be a 24/7 gazala once again, just like old times, this map gave birth to some of my fondest multi player gaming memories ever!

        Metalica version

        AC/DC version

        couldnt decide and i cant watch is enough, hehehe. i cant wait for the race to neutral airbase, that was always a good time.

            Okay, There are only 2 ways to have a “start up”
            <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <o></o><!--[endif]-->
            One: You start from the point of having JUST gotting in to the cockpit, this takes between 10 to 20 minutes (or longer) to go through all the preflight checks and then get permission to taxi to EOR.
            <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <o></o><!--[endif]-->
            Two: You are completed at EOR and are sitting at the end of the runway ready to go… at that point there is no 10 second delay it IS an instant GO!

            I prefer the "complete at EOR way", just like the game has it.

                    Cool. One question, were you able to reproduce the howitzer's sighting system? When I first played DC and used that on the AC-130 I was in awe. With a good crew and competent air support, the AC-130 would own on maps like El AL and Gazala. The circle straffe of death lol.

                      Why do you want us to wait?

                      I stated that I wanted option #2 "get in and go".

                      I don't realy like Sir. TheHeartSmasher idea of waiting either...

                          the planes take off pretty fast, theres a second or so delay, but nothing like the wait in bf2.

                          Not sure what you mean. Did it use the artillery camera system using spotters, like the ground arty?

                          For sure, a good crew will cause massive chaos

                            nope. the ac-130 in Dcon will operate exactly like the one in DC as far as weapon systems.

                            for reference kiff, here is a screenshot of the howitzer view in DC

                              Here is a SS:

                              Were you able to reproduce that look (sight picture) while in the howitzer position on board the AC-130? It's no big deal if ya didn't, I was just curious. It would be even more sweet if you tweaked or tricked it out a bit.

                              and while I'm here I might as well ask...have you guys reproduced the old school "walk" animation for any of the soldier models? I don't know why but I miss that.

                              Lastly, will you guys be considering going public with your editor files so that fans can make their own DCON maps? I've made a map with pyramids on it and would love to donate it to DCON but it is screaming for your statics. \

                              Here is a quick crappy vid of the pyramid...this was a test map so now I have 3 pyramids in the map.

                                most likely we'll release the samples files so you can map for dcon.
