Team HOT Wins Winter CPL 2006

We're happy to announce that our hosted BF2 clan, Team HOT, has walked away with the 1st place victory in the Winter CPL tournament. Take a look:

The CPL Winter Finals Championship was held at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, TX from Dec. 16 - Dec.20. Through the pack of teams that arrived at the event, Team HOT came into the event and prevailed with a squeaky clean undefeated run to be crowned the CPL BF 5v5 Champions.

HOT faced off against tough competition with the likes of Next Level, 20id and x6. Also, props to teams like Howie's for providing comprehensive andentertaining media coverage throughout the event. Also, shoutouts in general to the whole bf community for showing up with the likes of -P-, ROM, warchild and cRu.

Overall, this was a great trip all-around. This was our first trip that many of the players of HOT had a chance and just simply hangout together. From the time that we arrived until the moment poor Cheshire had to take a 20 hour bus ride back to Denver (because mother nature was totally wailing on Colorado real hard) it was a great trip due to finally meeting the rest of the teams we have not had the pleasure to do so yet.

ROFL at hot they would not have won if nL would have had all 5 of there starters instead of only 3 and if commander would have been used HOT would have been beat again but hey they won thats all that matters

Warchild would have had a really good chance at winning if they could send there starters. NL isn't that awesome.

Warchild would have had a really good chance at winning if they could send there starters. NL isn't that awesome.

Their recent wins against HOT, Warchild, 20id, and check 6 just before cpl beg the differ.

I have not heard of any broadcast but I believe some demos are available.

There were no commanders allowed at CPL.

OK and your point? Thats not during a lan event and that was with commander. And im on warchild and that recent lost we had vs them was a very close one. I think it would be a differnt story if we played them on a lan event with no lag.

The point is, HOT won. End of story. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, doesn't mean anything. If Warchild or nL, x6 or anybody else would have won, I'd be right there singing their praises as well. That doesn't mean that those teams are bad...FAR from it. It just means they didn't win at CPL....and were the best of the best at CPL.
