First of all, this is a preview (or trailer as you like). It's not the final movie. The running time will be around 45 minutes. I think that's enough time to tell a story. Although I can understand you're worried about the deaths from the USMC as shown in this preview but it's nothing close compared to what we will be showing in the final. Without giving too much details I can assure you that casualties will fall on both sides.

Second thing, and it's already been mentioned by Machstem... it's a fictional story. Although the movie is inspired by real events, it's all made up. But we're trying to show situations that could have happened like in the war in Iraq. We've done a long research, watched many docu's/news footage and raw footage from US soldiers. So the scenes will definitely have a realistic feeling but there are also so many flaws in the BF2 engine that even if we try to camouflage it with effects it will look different than in real life. Please don't forget we're making a machinima piece, not an animated (cgi) movie.

I honostly don't think you can judge on what you've seen in this short preview based on prejudices. Wait and see, maybe you will be surprised by the final outcome.

Thanks for the reply, perhaps I was quick to judge. I just get frustrated when I see these films come out showing the US to be bumbling fools and get slaughtered left and right. There was another movie posted recently (not even on the same level of quality as this one) that really was bad like that.

I will retract my statements on this movie for now and wait for the final product. Thank you for your well thought out reply and thanks for working on a well made movie.

Hmmm maybe someone in the US can go to their nearest Convience Store in a larger city. Should be alot of store owners who can help out...

Very Nice. I like the differentiation and the filters you applied to make it more like a real story, looks much more realistic too. I especially liked how you included those oil fires too like the ones seen in Jarhead. I also enjoyed how you did the blood bursts and such. I'm curious if you used After Effects for that though.

The voice acting was clear and very professional as well as those sounds you threw in. Props to you.
The rain effect at the Mashturr bridge was by far what I though was the most impressive, very nice effects. I have no idea how you did some of those effects in there, but hell, I can't wait for your finished product.

Oh and might I suggest doing some modding in order to increase the time the ragdoll stays dead, Sir. Unfortunately had this small problem in one of our movies. This will avoid getting those annoying kits while a person is dead.

Thanks for the coment Sir. Shpox. I didn't know you could mod the deadtime of the ragdoll. The problem is though, we are so far into production right now, we just can't redo all of the scenes. 80% of the shots have already been recorded. I can understand people will find it annoying, unrealistic even.... but it's something we cannot fix. This is one of the many flaws in the BF2 engine we have to cope with.
