The preview and quality of work looks great but, I am sick of yet another US bashing video where it shows the US getting slaughtered. Its realistic? Hardly, (speaking in BF2 terms so people here can understand) the US KDR is like 30 to 1 at least. While we do lose some troops, in a fire fight our guys win and win big. We might lose a man or two but that is with killing every single man on the other side. Look at Black Hawk Down even, we were pinned down and lost some very good men that day... but we took out hundreds of the enemy.

It seems in an attempt to bash our troops or make things "fair", people want to ignore the reality and show mass numbers of US troops being lost which is just not the case. I find it offensive, disgusting, and a gross distortion of the truth. While it looks to be a well made movie, it is not something I have the slightest desire to watch now.

Actually i dont give a ****. We are working very hard on it, sometimes me and my LRRP mates are 'acting' every day. For 5 hours without a break... + its a MOVIE, so the content here ist that important.

                        Good for you.

I am personally tired of seeing over glorified American movies where Mr. America is the hero and is a walking tank. For the record, this is fictional and is based on a game engine, not real tactics, nor real weapons or ammo.

I doubt fire fights erupt the way they do in Battlefield, and I doubt a US Marine would creep up to an enemy and slice him open in the middle of a street. Again, this is fiction, and very well done fiction.

If you want true to life videos, go watch those over-glorified soldier videos they have online.

Oh, and also for the record: The people you say are enemies, are normally starving civilians gone to being militants and fighting for what they believe to be a just cause. But that's another story and another debate. Leave the developers of this video alone, they've made a fictional story with fictional characters and I doubt has any relevance to actual war footage or even reality. Oh, and the movie Black Hawk Down: Fictional "BASED" on an actual story. Simple as that.

i.e. It's like in Starship Troopers, we took out those alien bugs and look at the odds. I'm sure glad every soldier in there seemed to be American, cause Mr. America knows how to handle alien bug attacks. Glad to see the director of the movie showed us what really WOULD have happened, cause there's no way we would lose with American soldiers fighting alongside.

                        PEACE

Ok, let me take a min to respond on your comment.

First of all, this is a preview (or trailer as you like). It's not the final movie. The running time will be around 45 minutes. I think that's enough time to tell a story. Although I can understand you're worried about the deaths from the USMC as shown in this preview but it's nothing close compared to what we will be showing in the final. Without giving too much details I can assure you that casualties will fall on both sides.

Second thing, and it's already been mentioned by Machstem... it's a fictional story. Although the movie is inspired by real events, it's all made up. But we're trying to show situations that could have happened like in the war in Iraq. We've done a long research, watched many docu's/news footage and raw footage from US soldiers. So the scenes will definitely have a realistic feeling but there are also so many flaws in the BF2 engine that even if we try to camouflage it with effects it will look different than in real life. Please don't forget we're making a machinima piece, not an animated (cgi) movie.

I honostly don't think you can judge on what you've seen in this short preview based on prejudices. Wait and see, maybe you will be surprised by the final outcome.

45 minutes? Wow, I am in awe for the dedication alone.

Again, you have me hooked. Will you be making screening available before release? hehehe
