Im loving the terrain, its so ugly looking. What happened to all of the quality screen shots? The last updates have been rather disappointing.

I dont subscribe to the naysayers crowd. People can say what they wish CATIA.. Some dont understand that not all of us roll around with 1950's for cards or 7800's. And some dont understand what a Journal is or about neither do they all understand that it was a WIP. But I just click on that great old ignore button and add their names. 1 by 1.

Yes I did read it and im not impressed. It looks like some of the screens were taken in BF1942. This mod is still going to be good dont get me wrong, but it just seems like the WIPs have been lacking quality.

Ugh, just bc its WIP doesn't mean you have to put the game settings on the lowest possible...Cool update, but its def better to use high settings even on WIP stuff.

It was a screeny i sent him using an older version of LV I used for lightmap tests... It wasnt made for updates, but he included them to illustrate what he was talking about

might i also suggest making the wood on the AK darker as it was in Desert Combat?

That's the bf2 gp30. We've only recreated guns that we really needed, such as the car15 and vss, etc... Whats the point at remaking an m16? I suppose the bf2 skin could be darkened, but does it really make that much of a dif?

I'm probably doing the next "journal" featuring the artillery camera system. I sure hope low quality vids, that are aimed at being small in size and just showing what's important, aren't ripped by critics :) They could be 10mb downloads if you all prefer lol

I've seen the MLRS and the SCUD camera vids in Desert Conflict forums awhile back. man o man, I can't wait to use them and unleash hell on the enemy .

Interesting, when we're hard at work we get blasted big time for not posting updates. Now that we've posted some and plan to make more, we get compaints that we're not working hard enough for a release. lol I can tell you that I personally work very hard every day on this mod and a walk thru of how the camera system works would hardly hold back any release. If anything, a personal review could possibly bring some feedback, helpful points and some self reflection on the system. We'll see I guess...

I agree with kiff, a lot of people are being pretty hypocritical about Desert Conflict :-/ They do their best for god's sake, and a damn good job at that. I for one think this journal was a good idea, it's an interesting read. At least it was for me, I don't know if the same can be said for all the action junkies here who can only be bothered looking at pictures <_<

Well technically if you're prone and using well places single shots i don't see why it isn't accurate. Same for assault rifles when standing/crouching. Unless you're on about sniping on full auto whilst standing.

read the update dont just look at the pictures. This update is showcasing some of the hurdles the team have to go to, including all the lighting problems that you more then likely complaining about

Didn't you say...like 4 weeks ago...that ppl should get ready for a release in about a month...and yesterday I read an update saying "we are still here" ?!

And what are these houses? What is it I'm seeing? After years of development and you are showing off houses with an AK-47 from stock BF2 !!!

Just my point of view, you better get a grip if you don't want this to be a replay of USI:s first loser release.

I know you recently showed off the Hind, it was looking really nice...one detail though...why is it two Hellfire missiles hanging weird at both sides...

Show of some more of the intresting media, such as tanks and release dates.

just remember people. this is why we dont like to say when the release is coming or to even post sneak peaks. You show or say anything and everyone takes it totally out of context. I think maybe Dcon should just go back to the old policy of "It will be released when it is done"
