edit:} searched for some Screens of the Wolfs - maybe not the same settings, but all are from newsupdates, so they should be the highest

      Re: Operation Peacekeeper Mod Update

thanks for the critics. Think other have more to do on their skins. funny, because that is the point where many people tell us that we are much better then others. same about details in maps. we try to give our maps an european kosovo style. and comments from KFOR soldieres or peolpe from there telling us that we are on the right way.

With the flags you are right. and there will be some changes on some of the maps.

And about the controls: everthing in a Mod is always WIP.But we don´t like these toytanks like in bf2. And the engine isn´t so easy to handle, if you want that there is the right kind of speed between the vehicles.

And about the gameplay: We try to give the weapons a more realistic gameplay, without it to get this "reality" like PRMM.

For just starting out it is great.
Its your opinion, but I totaly disagree. The hype didnt convince me of POE2, neither did playing it (its been removed).

They didnt just start either, they were done way before POE2. The maps and detail are much better, and more fun than POE2.

Play the one you are a fan of, or be someones cheerleader. Wont change my opinion, thats for sure.

I will agree with you on the wolf but that is about it. The back end of the Marder looks better but really the skins just do not look right to me. Must just be me then.

I am glad to hear you guys are fixing your maps and still working on gameplay. Thanks for the response, and I will be giving it another shot once your next patch comes to fix these things. Thanks.

Well, normally people are searching for every single detail if the object is used by the own country - i wouldnt care so much if the Hind of OPK would have wrong decals on the skin, because im german. You seems to be american - so you might dont have that experience with german armor - or just saw older versions or something ... its always the point of view

OK i'm no POE2 fan boy but I DL'd OPK tonight.

I'm amazed OPK has so much support. Or did no one playing tonight compared to POE2.

POE2 is polished for a first version compared to OPK.

The weapons and especially the sounds in OPK are horrible. Feels like i was going back to BFV.

There are some nice touches and the performance was good. Incursion map with all the trees was impressive. Work in progress.

                Re: Operation Peacekeeper Mod Update

Personally PoE set the Standard for other mods to follow, and honestly thats the facts. Now all the other mods have to produce mods that have to be a higher quality to surpass the quality level set by PoE.
I have found that OpK is enjoyable and a decent mod, but in my opinion it hasn't reached the level of quality that PoE has.
Sure PoE might be more of a performance hit then OpK, but does OpK have MD5 verficiation to help stop people from modifying thier content and cheating? I know that PoE does.
Vestalis, I personally find it rather sad to see a represenative of the modding community such as yourself, post a rather biased opion against another mod.

Well, you have to see me as a person, not as a "represenative of the modding community" here - im also only a human who gets really disappointed in PoE - and i really think the OPK guys did a better job - at least that my opinion ... i dont understand how people say PoE is a better mod, at least i - not the whole modding community - PoE did an awesome job on BFV - much better then OPK, atleast in the level of detail and such, but on BF2 PoE dont have this much on detail - its just my opinion - even on the IDF Team we got some PoE Fans and only a few OPK ones ... PoE got a huge advantage which is called publicity - everybody knows PoE because of BFV... same as Forgotten Hope, everybody knows it from BF42 - if there would be a better or equal WW2 Mod for BF2 (thinking of BGF) it would be hard to reach the number of players of FH2 - because FH2 got this huge fancommunity based on BF42...
and remember, im still a human with a opinon which i can tell everybody, also when im locked down in the webcoding bunker of IDF:FFI

                    Re: Operation Peacekeeper Mod Update

hey, let the poe guys do their fantasymod... It ´s okay, and they doing a good job.

that wasn´t goal of OPK. every mods have their fans. And specaila for the discussiion about the marder in POE: this vehcile never existent in such a combination. but that´s equal if you like it.

OPK try to create the original details and vehciles. We re not flying with prototypes. And that´s our mission. You can do critics with comparing us with original tankpicture. and tell us our faults. POE is POE, and OPK is OPK.

And there are enough outside who have their personal favourite mod.

For me is POE to much arcade, i don´t like the gameplay, the POE1 was much better to play. I prefer OPK or PRMM.

                      Re: Operation Peacekeeper Mod Update

POE is POE, and OPK is OPK.
exactly, excellent words. Compare POE2 to real life, not OPK. Compare OPK to real life, not POE2.

When I look at the real pictures of the weapons and vehicles and maps from OPK, I am amazed at the level of detail that has went into the models and skins. Handling is always a touchy subject, because you are playing a game. How far do you go with realism as far as handling goes? Can you make the vehicle "feel" heavy? Can you give it the response in a game engine that it would have in real life? Arguemants about handling are pointless, when you look at it this way. But model and texture details, load-outs, damages, and maps...all these things can be mirrors of real life, and OPK has stayed true to these things.

I won't talk about POE2 here, and whether or not they are this and that, because this is an OPK news update. Well done, OPK devs :)
