Took only 5 to destroy BF2 completly.

Finally, a sign out there that someone gets it. EA isn't what screwed up BF2, DICE is what screwed it up. DICE was the company that did the work. EA just put it in a package and sold it. There was prolly alittle more to that but DICE did the labor. They didn't have the manpower to get the job done right is all. They tried hard.

It is DICE Canada who screws up the patches (game), afaik DICE Canada are former EA and have nothing to do with developing the game. Which makes sence they screw up because they have to 'learn' the sourcecode since they didn't originally write the code and therefore don't know the best and the limits of the BF-engine as we can all see with the patches.

Ask yourself: would you do 110% your best for something you didn't develop or just getting your job done because you are getting paid for it nomatter what the outcome is as long the employer is satisfied?

I sure hope so..considering they'll have been over one year too late releasing their game to make a dent in EA's profit gain.

I think this is great news. Obviously the current situation at Dice is not working. Perhaps EA can kick some tail and get things working again.

Well, I think Dice is perfectly capable of making a great game, but that takes time. When the publisher won't give them time to truely polish their product, we get these retail games that are practically still beta. When the publisher owns the dev house.. hrm not sure but I don't think it'll be good for us.

Hehe, first someone implies that EA paid me to say that and someone else implies these aren't my real thoughts... actually they are, because at heart I'm a positive person.

Any barnyard fool can be negative -- especially in a straightforward situation like this.

Truth is, none of you knows what's going on in the background. Maybe the DICE execs just got sick of gaming and want to get into some other industry? Maybe they want to retire? Maybe they want to start fresh with a new game dev studio? Maybe they want to become buddhists and move to tibet?

You don't know, I dont know, so lets not flame the people who gave you a year and a half of great gaming.

In the end, all mainstream games will be focused on appealing to the casual gamer, which is something many are afraid of.

DICE ripped off Frank not EA. Trama Studios was bought out by DICE not EA. FRONTLINES: Fuel of war is on my waiting list. After seening what desert combat did to gaming. I'd really like to see what they can produce. I've seen some screenshots. They where prolly pre-rendered but its coming out in 2007. So I'd be willing to bet its going to look really good. Looks like its going to replace BF2.

I'd do that too if I brought one of the best gaming franchises to its knees.

Like I said. If someone sold a game JUST like BF2, maybe some more bells and whistles, not as clunky an interface, few bugs, and a better admin program.... I'd pay good cash for it.
