3 months down the track, 2 betas, they notify the community of a delivery date which they don't normally do, and then don't meet it.

Yes I'll wait, why cause I have to, every patch has almost been a disaster.

Once again they've made asshats out of themselves by commiting to a date and then ballsing it up.

EA are setting themselves up for failure at every point.

The official Battlefield 2 website has been updated recently with some information about the delay 1.4 patch, as well as the leaked beta of the patch. Have a look:

Greetings Everyone, As many of you are now aware we have made the choice to take some extra time with the 1.4 patch before release.

so what else is new, same old, same old

During our standard final processing of the 1.4 client update we came across an issue that, although it does not compromise stability, we felt needed to be addressed in order to meet our goal of improving the overall player experience with Battlefield 2.

what drugs is this guy one anyway. like dice / ea care much about player experience. like they want us to get a good high or something.

It has come to our attention that a beta version of the 1.4 client has leaked to the general public. It should be noted by players that this file is not final and being such could cause damage to players systems.

what bullsh*t is this. be afraid be very afraid. like what is it going to do to my computer, set my $30 motherboard on fire. been there, done that. never buy chaintec pos motherboards again. im going to buy only high quality $50 ones. :-)

We want to warn players to avoid the use of any client files that are not distributed by EA/DICE or one of our trusted partners. Once we have set a new schedule for release we will communicate this information to everyone.

you gotta be kidding. my computer is fully loaded with crap i should never have loaded, like that alpha release of quake or half-life that no-one should use. surprising what you can get at local computer game clubs.

Typical EA. One month after Beta 2 and they dont finish a patch to fix patch 1.3. Great! Keep the great work EA. Another reason why not to buy more EA products.

i dont think you realise that EA are trying to get it right this time, so there taking there time on this patch so that its right for release instead of a disaster like 1.3. With all this testing i think this will actaully be a patch to bring back bf2 somewhat of its original greatness. except for the BH, DAMN YOU WHINY CHINESE AND MEC GIRLS!!

Rush?! You think two months is rushing?! Blimey, what do they need, six months? Oh ok, fair enough, we'll just keep playing with CTD's and server crashes (and numerous other bugs) until they decide to get off their collective arses and do some work, right?

The 1.3 patch should of had a hotfix then people wouldn't be quite as pissed off.

hello its {AWOL}Assasin hear just want evry one to no EA are doing this so we by the new one co'z thay no it will be crapy so thay make this one no good so we buy this new crapy one thay shood off wen't back to last patch as ther was np with it but no thay let us wate with bad severs we cood off all just wen back to 1.2 till thay fix it but no just leev us to play on laggy crashing severs and the big mess up off all time cartillary thay crapy and we r all not buying new game EA SUCKS U NO WOT AND A LOT OFF IT THAY JUST MONY GRABING VOLCHERS

WTF??!

Can they make it worse than it is at the moment?? CTD multiple times. Multiple server crashes in a day. Glitches in maps so people can hide in the walls. More rabits then players on some servers etc

I think they should have released a hotfix for the instability that the last patch brought in and then taken there timer with the beta and brought out a working patch with a good balanced map.

Not that I care as my graphic card died last week and im waiting for the RMA so cant play anyway
