Well i have been playing on the 1.4 beta 2 patch and about 2 weeks ago it was great but i played the other day and it was all ****ed up.

could not lay down
could not stand back up if you was lucky enough to lay down
LAG was terrible
could not kill any one due to the lag

And there was alot more as well.

Now i thought it was me but when i mentioned it everybody else was having the same probs.

So if a patch is coming out today or even middle of next week then i dont hold much hope of it being any good:cry:

I joined that server too. I think it was a problem with the server, not 1.4 beta 2 because all other servers were fine.

Right; so EA/Dice release a god awful buggy version 1.3 that crashes both BF2 servers and BF2 games respectively very regulary

Uhm, maybe for you, but my game does't crash so much I'd say it's on a regular basis. In fact, it rarely crashes.

For those who still haven't realised it, the "odd" gameplay has been noted on most of the 1.4 Beta servers from time to time at the minute. Usually this leads to hilarious fun as new people join, accuse the people they can't kill of being cheaters, think the server/they have been hacked, and so on.

(For those who didn't figure it out at the time, any mounted or vehicle weapon works fine, and randomly ordinary weapons will work too.)

Hope they don't pull an Epic on us.

Promise to make a *BIG* announcement... Make everyone speculate on stuff that I didn't know was even possible. Get everyone giddy, and tearing their hair out waiting for the announcement. :p And then put out a release date 3 months later... and shoot most of the people who wanted a demo down, by reassuring us that there will be NO pre-release demo.
It was very nice of them.

But if you don't know what I mean, I hope that they don't say that it will be something big, or will make us all happy... And then release something stupid, that isn't really all that big.

I was happy with BF2 unpatched :p That's when I played the most, after the patches started nerfing everything, I noticed my self wasting time in some other game.

I doubt anything they announce will make me extremely happy...

they have had 6 weeks to sort this out. we have lost clan members and it killed our server how F***ing hard can it be?

I posted this in another thread, but if you read the last post on the EA UK forums, where it was reported that an announcement would be made today, the LAST post on the thread from a moderator suggests that it may all be a hoax.

well weve had news on 2142 veterans process for anyone with active accs on bf2 get a free promotion when u start bf2142 and a stupid war dance to taunt people and u can register a unique nickname before the game starts and joe public gets it, this is not the 1.4 news yet but hey still a few hours to go yet

It is in fact a hoax, confirmed. There is no patch today.
