Seems very stable to me so far.

Not sure I like the "Infantry Only" but you don't have to play on those servers...I understand why and what it is, but to not have at least civilian vehicles, man you'll die tired jumping from flag to flag... Civy' vehix should at least be in this map or maps/servers that us "IO" mode... I hope this is changed because it'll turn into a sniper 'fest from a distant flag as the troops fan out across the battlefield like tin cans on a fenceline. Just an observation so far...

Don't get me wrong it'll be a neat change from the norm' but this may be a good way to get from point to point. Civy' vehicles with no mounted guns on them...

I think I will wait and download the actual 1.4 patch and not the beta version.

- Added support for multiple gamemodes in single maplist for mods

So infantry only gametype for special forces? I hope that includes Iron Gator

Yes and add bus stops and railway stations so we can commute to the battlefield in comfort.......

I am verry exited for this to work out, i cant wait to test out the new map and maybe fix some bugs!!! the one think i am INCREDIBLY happy about is no more server crashes! hopefully.. anyhow im off to go try it out..

Right according to my bf2 server list i have 14 servers that are RANKED from Multiplay.co.uk i swear BETA was gonna be unranked only so whats going on??? Are they ranked or is it a lie??

I think the infantry only servers will be fun. It should be based solely on teamwork so everyone should join and/or make a squad.

People are saying they won't download the Beta....Everyone pretty much complained about every patch that EA had released. Now they are giving everyone a chance to try out the patch and state their feedback on it and some people now are saying no I won't download it.....I don't get it

Some people have a really hard time applying patches, I would recommend they avoid messing with the beta. It went smooth for me but then I haven't had any troubles patching the game ever, plenty of free space on my OS install partition and it was no big deal to just make a copy of my BF2 install folder (3 gig), I also backed up my settings in the My Documents folder just to be safe.

Is it ok to download and use Incremental? I don't want to have to re-install BF2 than download the full 1.4 patch, so post here if it's ok to download the incremental (for once)

Also, to the person that cried about the c4 fix and prone/crouch fix, just leave now, nobody likes the idiots/children that exploit the game becuase they die so easily when they try to play it normally.
