In the coming days MyInternetServices.com will be posting an application for clan sponsorships. We will be selecting 100 clans, giving them a 32 slot Ranked BattleField 2 server and website hosting. This sponsorship program will run a minimum of six months for each clan. After we receive 50 applications the MyInternetServices.com staff will start choosing a clan a day for 100 days. All the clans that get selected will be announced on the TotalBF2.com website.

Below are some of the requirements for a clan to be chosen. Make sure that your clan has these things prepared.

1. Clans must have at least three members.
2. Your clan must choose a leader. Only the leader will be able to fill out the application.
3. All of your clan members must be registered on the following websites (PLEASE READ THE FOLLOW UP POST THAT I MADE BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON THIS PART):

b. www.totalbf2142.com
c. www.totalaa.com
d. www.totalquakewars.com

These are some of the requirements. When the application is posted you should make sure that your clan leader reads it thoroughly and makes thoughtful answers. We are looking for good feedback. The better the answers the better your clan’s chances.

Ok it gets to me when someone tries to be honest and bring up a valid point and is accused of whining and not wanting to cooperate...

Nap I tried to PM you some advice from what I have learned in the Military and while getting my buisness degree but you PM'd me back you don't read PM's... so hear it is in public...

I am taking this private because I don't think it does either of us any good to spin it around in public.
On my part I know I am very militaristic in the way I look at things but I also look at thing from the Corporate point of view. I was raised on military bases then did my time in the USMC and then off to the IT and marketing portions of the Corporate world.
Ok here is my outlook on things ( I offer them out of friendship and respect and a wanting to see your company succeed):
1. Never make requirements you don't intend to enforce, it sets a bad precident and causes confusion.
2. If your looking for an alternative make the requirement that the clans post a link to the sites on their main pages. You are more likely to gain traffic this way from their clan members and visitors to their sites out of curiosity and you can monitor it's compliance easily in a timely manner.
3. Never make requirements that are unatainable...Leaders of a large clan could never mandate all members register at multiple sites, many people still have an abhorance to registering to sites and giving up email addresses and could cause disapline ruptures within a clan stressing out the leadership and earning MIS bad will from clan leaders who previously supported you.
4. Never display the "We don't need you attitude" towards anyone. Marketing is a very strategic, phsycological field and to chase away any future customers by showing the attitude of superiority can be harmfull to ones image. Image and service is everything to the success of a company.
5. TBF2 forums in my humble opinions have been growing and becoming succesful because people are being driven away from PBF by these attitudes, you have a good thing going here that can blossom greatly if not poisoned.

I hope you realize I am one of TBF2's and MIS's greatest supporters and if I didn't care I would not have spoke up.

You have not even seen the application...Give us sometime and you will see the full program. We will be done soon and all the details will be clear. Thanks for your advise. We love this type of input.

Hey, i got a question. Is it possible to turn a ranked server into an unranked server for practices at any time and then change it back to ranked after we finish or are servers always locked in ranked / unranked and you cannot change that.whats up?

I think that those who have to question why a company is giving away a service for "free," should not bother replying to this thread.

My team currently has a dedicated server that we run, pay for and maintain as a 24/7 Dedicated Wake enviroment, and to be honest we could greatly gain from this type of offer. Our current game server gets roughly 200,000 players monthly and we do everything possible to ensure that the community has a place they can play. There is a lot of pride in giving back to the community, and Team |TOC| understands that commitment. We've had our Dedicated Wake 24/7 up and running since Nov or Dec of 05 and although many of us don't play on the server often anymore (tired of wake!), we do ensure the bills are paid and the server is effectively administered.

I invite MyIS to come check us out at www.TeamTOC.net if they have some available time.

I truly and honestly commend MyIS on doing this!

I can't understand whats going on. I guess it is what the old saying goes "People want something for nothing." How hard is it to tell your clan that they have to sign up to help get the clan sponsored. We have struggled through imaginable requests to get sponsored and this is probably the easiest start a "you help us we help you relationship". So all I can say is if your not willing to do what they ask please take your comments elsewhere so those of us that are willing can participate and try to make this a great opportunity like they are offering us.

On a lighter note I will luck to all the other clans participating. Whoever gets the sponsorships I hope they bring your clan success.

I am long time TotalBf2 member (i used to have over 500 posts but they were cut down when the admins deleated old posts) and the leader of a brand new and small clan (about 15 players) called =\VW/= Virtual Warriors. We have members from all over the world. US, Europe: UK, Netherlands and even some from Asia. But our clan is 100% free. As a leader i had to setup the forums(www.vwclan.tk), reconfigure one of my PCs to be a Linux TS server and am now spending lots of time trying to learn how to design a website for us. However there is just no way that i alone would be able to afford a ranked server. We considered getting one in the future once we grow more but if we win one now it will be really cool. For our weekly practices we still have to hop around to find a random empty server to practice on. However once in a while some non-member would join us and start braking the rules for our practices and force the 15 of us to leave searching for another server. If we win your Ranked Server, it will not only help us practice but will aslo help us recruit the kinds of players we like and help us keep a server clean from hackers, glitchers and those that think are too good and complain each time they get killed. And ofcause if we win we will be more than willing to use your graphics and links in our server banner, server messages and on the website.
