What do you mean with that badly researched comment? Have you ever seen the EA servers provided for public use on your game interface?

You are aware that all ranked server providers are required to give EA Games a game server for every Nth server that they use, right? Just thought I'd squeeze in that point since you speak of "research".

EA is great on this end and has pulled through for the community bigtime. Just today I was showing an associate how to play Battlefield 2 and only then I realized how *massive* this game is. They've done alot, no reason to throw them into the mix here.

Just a thought from someone who know waste and need and prefers filling our needs not wasting our resources as a primary goal of this giveaway.

Any decent clan will tell you that a game server isn't just a thing to fill up, it's about stance, image, and a place to call home. Even if it's full for only 1 hour in the day, sometimes it's nice to feel like your clan has something of its own. It gives that warm feeling because it's your little corner in the gaming community.

Melodramatic? Perhaps. True? Unquestionably so.

I join, suicide, and spawn on him, and tell him to get the **** out and I'll send PTX some SS of him. I look to my left and see our commander in there too. That costs just as much as the battleservers that a clan might have need of. More really, as the more player slots a server provides the more it costs. I imagine few clans need a 64 player server, right?

I would think MyInternetServices would have planned better utilization of their planned contributions than they did here.

Most clans have no need for a battleserver to themselves full time. Very few are large enough or active enough to have such a lease. It would go wasted most of the time, except for practices and challenge matches. Even if the clan planned to leave it open as a public ranked server when they were not using it for clan business, most of them would go empty during those open player times.

Has anyone with leverage at myinternet even looked around at the current state of affairs in our community? Apparently not from the clan level or below viewpoint and that's a shame.

I am not just finding fault, as I have a suggestion that would double the value of this fine gift to our community.

Award each battleserver to two clans, divide up the admin time between the two and you will find better utilization of resources, a doubled payout to potential clans worldwide meaning publicity too and just a more competent and thoughtful approach to the clans without wallets dilemma we face in the BF community.

I don't suggest this off the cuff. I am part of a group of players supporting two battleservers, one north american and one german, two teamspeak servers and a large forum with barracks, custom and unique to us mods that enlist, organize, promote and decorate our players from a high command admin console and maintain signup rosters for our campaign's three times a week battles.

Even with all our advantages and features provided to our members, free of charge I might add, we have both servers going empty when left open as ranked public battleservers and it will only get worse with time. Players that bought the game on release and have either lost interest or obtained planned goals leave the community everyday as other players zero in on clan or tournament play as their first choice in game play and stop pubbing so much.

Just a thought from someone who know waste and need and prefers filling our needs not wasting our resources as a primary goal of this giveaway.
