About the beheadings, try and remember that beheadings are used publicly in the Middle East to this day. In Saudi Arabia, they still do it in the public square. So its different from our way of life and point of view, but relative to Islamic laws in many areas.

Although dropping white sulfur gas on civilians, seems just as bad to me. Painfull and friehgtning death sucks, in any form. The Chechans have been tortured and slaughtered by the russians in large numbers, and we all reap what we sow, law of the jungle.

Looking great as usual but... it seems like they are wanting to do too much. I've been going through their site looking at all the models they plan at it seems waaay too many.
I hope this comes out before this engine is obsolete.

As usual awesome screenshots...but...

My concern with this mod (and many of the other promising mods) is that by the time it comes out most of the community will have dwindled off and moved on to other games and just wont have as much of an audience. I really hope that isn't the case because the prospect of playing Battlefield: Halo/Star Wars (aka 2142) turns me way off from the franchise...

Im not sure what it is you guys expect the MOD teams to do. Please take a look at the numbers of people supporting the MODs that are currently out and available to play. Then tell me you guys are sure its better to release it as soon as possible, so the interest doesnt fade.

I remember when DCF came out. There were plenty of games on the market since 1942 has been released, but I pretty much only played 1942 MODs, the ones I liked.

If it sbalanced, fun, and fast, then it will last. FPS games that are really great last for a while, because of things like tournaments, and the constant dynamic of new rounds, and ocasiconal updates.

Do you like WW2 games?, if afirmative I am sure you will download FH2, if is good you will play it, and if is bad you will uninstall it, our goal is to make it good

I am sure that everyone involved on the project is pretty tired of "When is it coming out?" comments. I was by no means saying that it was not being built fast enough -- its free so what do you want? I understand that. I was expressing a concern that an awesome mod will not get the following it deserves. Yes I love WWII games and Modern Combat games. I bet I will love FH2. I just hope it gets the love it deserves...by more than a small group of loyalists.

The first release of FH for BF42 was rushed, we had hundreds of thousands downloads (I am not kidding), but the bugs, balance problems, placeholders, half done or low quality stuff in that release caused exactly that: we kept a small group of loyalists but most of the persons who tried that rushed release never bothered to download newer versions again.

This time we will not do the same mistake.

with the majority of mature BF2 players sharing your exact sentiments on the upcoming BF2142/Quakewars genre, do you see why most (including the FH team) arn't in anyway swayed or pressured by your concern? Its an old and overused argument m8, the sooner you get over it the better.

The models you refer to (the ones on the website) are already in game, alive and kicking, in the 0.7 version of FH for BF1942.

I play it almost every day.

FH2 is not a game destined to ADD suffering 16 year olds - let them all go play BF2142 or Quake wars, I don't care. The less of brainless retards filling FH servers, the better.

Nice work. I'm a long time CoD & BF2 player that never actually played 1942. So i'm looking forward to this alot. Can't wait for the planes! No more missile/flares crap! (yeah, i just came off a server that had J10's flying around...)
