    Forgotten Hope 2 Mod Update

The team behind the Forgotten Hope 2 mod is back today with a fresh update. They have a render to show as well as some new in game shots. Take a look:
The British realized even before the 2 pounder anti-tank gun entered service, that it was inadequate. For this reason development of a more powerful quick firing weapon was began in 1938. In 1940 the gun itself was finished and in 1941 British engineers completed the carriage design. The Ordnance QF 6-pounder 7 cwt--or more simply the "6-pounder"--entered service in May 1942. This 57mm anti-tank gun was modeled by Jackalx2k and Rad, skinned by Aaron Ash and Rad, unwrapped by Lobo and coded by ctz.

    <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=http://images.totalbf2.com/news/antitankgun.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalbf2.com/news/thumb_antitankgun.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>
The 6-pounder replaced the 2-pounder and allowed the 25-pounder artillerists, who had been filling in the anti-tank role, to revert to their intended function. Contemporary enemy tanks were no challenge for the Ordnance QF 6-pounder 7 cwt, but against later, much heavier German designs (Panther, Tiger) the standard 6 pounder shot was insufficient to penetrate the front armour. Although it was still effective against other angles, the development of a more powerful anti-tank gun started 1942. When the 17-pounder gun entered service already in 1943, the smaller and more maneuverable 6 pounder continued to be used by the British Army for some 20 years after the war, and also saw service with US forces.

Now that you have seen the primary British anti-tank gun during the middle years of World War II, we would like to show you some of the effects of its projectile. The PzKpfw II Ausf. C wreck is coming soon, to a 6 pounder near you!

Amazing update once again! Great quality... glad to know the PZII won't stand a chance against the 6 pounder :)

Could this possibly be hinting towards the idea that tanks can throw their tracks? Cause that tank doesn't look fully destroyed..

Re: Forgotten Hope 2 Mod Update

the tanks with the broken tracks are wreck models, so i dont think we are gonna see half damaged functioning tanks with wheels blown off. otherwise, brilliant work as always. Plus, the fact that rexman solved that modding issue gives me hope that not only fh2 will be put out earlier, but other mods too.

p.s. how did dice let that problem slip through their editor???

How much longer for this mod, im starting to get really bored of regular bf2, and I was a huge fan of FH 42.

The fixed 3d max exporter is avalaible for everybody here: http://bfeditor.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5980

All mods using 3d max must re-export their models, because this bug was causing insane polycounts in visible models and collisions, affecting heavily the performance.

                      DICE win again!!! :)

Great update, I really like how you guys paid attention to the FH2's community request and made wrecks the way they are now, instead of the Battlefield version.

That 6 pounder looks sick btw, I always think that you guys overuse poly's but what would I know about modding...

I don't think they overuse polies, they just know how to use them in a very visually appealing manner.

Well, like I said, that tank doesn't look fully destroyed by any means.
