I'd rather they balance aircraft than cover their failings up with such a lazy ploy.

Though, as long as they at least fix the mess they made with 1.3 along with the bugs they never bothered about pre 1.3

Non the less, they need to throw the community a bone or two and giving a map or two I think would be a good direction or simply find a way to integrate BF2SF or somehow allow those to work together. I think infantry only map is a good idea, though not no vehicles I would put in buggies at least and perhaps a new type of buggy or even a motorcycle!

DCON Mod guy said something along the lines of taking ideas from the mod teams, which I think it has already happened for Armored Fury.

I hope something positive comes from this and perhaps this is a one-year mark to BF2 and it’s a bone to the community. If it isn’t iam afraid that more of the community will be lost and they need to get there act together and fix the problems.

OMG bout bloody time we got an infantry map. Anyone can be good in a vehicle but real skill is shown on foot.

I totally agree with this comment. I only hope that the new patch will fix the issues caused by the 1.3 patch. But what I have read it sounds really good if we have a few maps added and I hope that they fix my SF as I have yet to play this due to shadder issues, even uninstall did not work.

Do we know when it will be out or are we all waiting for news? :)

The demos don't work as I said on page 6. I loaded them up but they didn't even show up under communities. Something interesting to note is that one of them is a .bf2142demo and not just .bf2demo

Either the demo means they are playtesting a demo, or it is demo in terms of BFR demo.. I'm going to dl and attempt to play this file in BFR. Will update with news if it works.

EDIT: DO NOT PUT THIS FILE INTO YOUR BF2 DEMOS FOLDER.

It will crash your BF2, untill you remove it. It gave me a memory error saying that using 1096 mb of memory is "not sane"... ??

But yes... it doesn't work apparently. So maybe it's actually a demo file for a bf2142 vid?

Dude EA is stupid they're not fixing the bugs there only just giving you more features that are useless. Do rather have bugs fixed (CTD) or new features and keep the bugs?

I would have to agree with you on this, though to go further i would say that they are distracting us from the real issues such as the introduction of BF2142. They beleive introducing that it will take away there frak up on BF2, they need to get there head out of there arse and get with the program!

of course they have to release a patch to fix the last patch and to screw up the new one...i have a feeling vehicle drops are going to be nerfed big time.

Good did not patch and stopped playing when I heard about vehicles falling out of sky.

Transported by chinook would have been the way to go.

OMGTBF2 quit trying to add new layouts when you can't even get the user quote bug fixed. It feels like I'm browsing totalBETAfield2 (lol I'm so clever) now that you don't even try to fix the millions of bugs popping up since the last update. Don't you know that all that really matters is my immediate satisfaction?

I read in an interview once that they looked at the popularity of CTF in 1942 and the numbers weren't there.

I played CTF in Tribes religiously because it was a fast paced game and the whole jet pack and skiing really added to the sport like feel to it, I just can’t go back to the old on foot CTF gameplay.

I play Team Fortress Classic for some good ol' ctf action :)
