New maps are always welcome.

As for good infantry combat - we already have that, it's called Special Forces. Sure, there are vehicles (as there should be on every map), but the infantry action is intense.

I think there r no new game modes, it states gpm_cq (game play mode conquest). I think the infantry only indicates the lack of vehicles in the map and that they are testing out a ground forces only map. (Screw all the vehicle w#0res). Since all the boosters are mostly vehicle emphasis i think they are adding more infantry based to create balance. That's y SF is soo grreeaat....the infantry focus.

I think one by one, they will release patches and boosters that take map, vehicles, and weapons ideas directly from the work of MOD teams.

So says the guy who is working on a mod whos stated goal is:

this has got to be the new patch in the works !
(i bet this new map is to say 'sorry for all u guys that are missing the leader spawn when u die, here, theres another inf. whore/spamming map u can dig in to!')

Infantry only? thats an option I dont like this is a Multiplayer game where every player must choose a class if there are tanks someone has to be an anti tank soldier and so on....., new maps I like.

Whats so bad about an infantry only gamemode? I mean you dont HAVE to join an infantry only game just because its new...This is pretty good news though, id be dissapointed if dice only made 1 free new map. *If in a week they introduce the new Booster "Desert Strike" im done with bf2
