It wouldn't bother me to get a free map out of the deal. Infantry only? I'd try it. Looks like it may be a server setting? So only transports are spawned during the game?

I'm not a modder, but doesn't it take some time to make a map? Just the raw time to design, model, texture the map not counting the playtesting it needs. I'm pretty sure it would take some time. Perhaps some modders could comment on that.

I'm thinking they had some previously unreleased maps that "didn't make the cut" in the original, and they might be fine tuning/fixing for release in a new patch.

Thoughts?

Well, I really like the infantry only mod. It is a really good mode for clanwars and I don't get a tank very fast. Only if nobody takes it... Mostly I am on foot, and if you are in a firefight with someone else it is really annoying if some apc comes and kills you...

I bet the infantry only server setting is for a booster pack in the works, one that has a focus on just infantry battles. They may give a free map with the patch, I would doubt they would be testing an infantry only map for a new version of the game. The current maps just wouldn't be that great with only infantry, walking everywhere would be a drag.

at any rate I hope the patch comes soon and that it actually fixes problems this time rather than create new ones.

It's not the map, it's the play mode, i.e. conquest, co-op, infantry only

Don't get too excited people, you'll only be disappointed later on. Remember that they were testing a bocage map, did you see it in the latest patch?

And infantry only is boring, Battlefield needs vehicles otherwise it's not Battlefield anymore but just another CS.

Jesus christ EA cmon stop the patching! When does the game will be an Alpha version?! It stays a beta always and if u make a new patches they of course have somekind of new bug/glitch/error!

They finally acknowledge that 1.3 was/is a shambles!!!
New infantry only is a good bonus, but just hope they fix all the ******* bugs that has somewhat ruined the game recently. As long as they do that they will please the community.

Infantry only would be a good addition. So is it likely to be a new map? or new game mode? Either way, if its similar to kark/Sharqi but without armour, that'd b SWEET!!!!!!!

Do not expect this patch to be release anytime soon. Whenever they say "sson" we are looking at weeks down the road.
