Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update - CH-53

Why is the Marine version toting a re-fueling boom? The only version that should have the re-fueliing boom is the MH-53 which is used by the Air Force's special operations such as the PJ's. Take the boom off and it'll look pretty good.

Well heres the first thing I found on the net about the CH-53 sea stallion. It clearly shows the version that we have, a similar paint job, and a refueling boom sticking out of the front.

I dont know much about aircraft personally, but a little research goes a long way.

            looks plastic.

            add some wear and tear.

Ahh, urban Seige. A two-man team could own the skyscraper. That's when you had both stingers and RPG in your KIT and there were ammo boxes so you didn't have to rely on some 13 year old to give you ammo to play the game you paid for!

And those guns on the Gazzelle.... those owned!

Looks like it's missing an engine. Looks like you have the exhaust for it but not the intake. Or you put the apu on the wrong side. But the 3 engines is what makes the CH-53E Super Stallion unique.

Hmm, I guess you are right. I, personally, have never heard nor' seen a CH-53 with a refueling boom up until now. Hmm, we all make mistakes  I think would still fit the CH-53 better if it didn't have the boom on the nose.

Its funny you mention USI, even though the big boys arent done with there MODs yet. Do you give them the same advice? Im interested in this answer, im not trying to be sarcastic.
Well USI has given us a mod, I don't understand what your saying when you say that they haven't released it yet, and I did not give them the same advise because they have released a mod.

No offence to DCON, but I personally think it is better to give the community a little bit of something, which would gain you players while your working on the bigger patch. If DCON was to be released as a small mod to start, many players would begin to play it and then the full DCON version gets released you will already have a fairly big community of players.

I personally think that if you release one giant thing, then the community will expect every patch to be bigger and bigger.

                      But that's just my opinion.

Well I think I heard the rough estimate would be about July time for a release am I right? very rough guess though but I think after a year or so in development I think any longer would really start to hurt the DC mod big time.
I have no doubt DC will be huge on its release and the bugs will be very few but a summer release would be great seeing as people are off college, school, various work, etc.

It must be close now, surely.......

Thanks for the info. I didnt have any idea what the difference was between the two models. The only thing that bothers me is that we didnt make the CH-53F, which comes with an alpine head unit, and gold rims.

Hey Tren, you totaly misunderstood what I was saying, I was probably too vague. When I said the Big Boys hadnt released yet, I meant POE and FH2. I always think of them as our powerhouse teams. *Pay no attention to that ego stroke damn you"

I realise USI has put out a version, I play it quite often and my clan happens to run Basrah on a 24\7 server. Hopefully youll give our mod a try as well when it comes out, cause it wont be released till its ready.

EDIT- Hey Wax, there has never been a release estimate put out by us. DC was a name everyone uses for Desert Combat, which we are not a part of in terms of development, just in admiration.

BF2 was released incomplete and then patched up later on, look how much flak they get about it  Dcon will release a full version and add gameplay and bugfixes later on.
