Any bets on if they push back Armored Fury in response to all the problems? I mean, do we really want to all be trying out the new AF servers having us CTD and the servers crash?

I can just imagine the whining now..."I was running towards the A-10 after teamkilling five guys for it and I CTD'd..FTW!?!?!?!"

every patch they release is supposed to fix the previous patch, its a never ending cycle of noobism.

All I care about is the crashing on first server join. Other than that, STUFFU NUBZ.

So, isn't this the third Community Update making this exact same promise?

Whatever happened to "failed in their responsibilities", "We're going to try and do better?".

I don't get it. To say that "we are continuing to look for ways to help everyone and find ways to promote all of the mods and their hard working teams.". This latest patch, for instance. There is no mystery involved in this, no uncertainty. We all know what's wrong, and what problems it has caused the modding community. Just fix it.

Once again EA talk the talk but...don't...well...do anything. The problems have been obvious right from when the patch was released with (I'd take a guess at) 80% of all 64 player servers not being able to stay up longer than 2 hours without crashing repeatedly. There's nothing ambigious about that huge gaping bug.

Do a linux release style "bazaar" system where fixes are released as and when completed for all I care, just get it done.

If you know that it doesn't fix any bug when you're buying it then no, but if you are a real patriotic american then yes. What IMHO will be the main reason for the higher selling-count of AF compared to EF.

PS: I really like to know these numbers... the amount of BF2 copies sold compared to the number of EF boosters sold. Only EA knows why they don't publish them :).

As an ex tester at EA I can assure you that that is not true. Yes, there are those that just "play", but those are always the ones that dont get their contract renewed as well. There are a lot of very good testers at EA, its not fair to blame them for everything as many areas have a part to play in the end result.

That's American to you. And I'm sure it would make Uncle Sam proud if I bought it. Hell, I may even get a sit down with the President of the United States of America if I buy one too. Bitch, please!
